Description
"Butterfly Wonder" is a watercolor painting. I wasn't planning to paint a butterfly, but this one kept positioning itself in front of me on the red currant leaves in my edible garden. It landed over and over again, persistently posing for me and I could no longer ignore it. It would acrobatically fly way high into the sky until it was but a speck, and then return back to these rigid leaves. I wanted to tell it's story, somehow, of it's desire to connect and the reminder that this creation, though very small, lives with a sense of it's own wonder for this world, as well as posing as a wonder for all of us!
