Artist's Description
"The Majestic Pelican Visit" is a watercolor painting. My son came in from surfing one evening and mentioned that there had been hundreds of pelicans flying around him while he was out on the water. I rushed out to our Big Beach Backyard to see these Majestic Beauties for myself! I so enjoyed that such a large flock was so close to my home and I was careful to not scare them away..I loved seeing the 'watchman" pelican who stood low and still ,while ready at any time to alert all the others of any possible dangers. This was a challenging and fun watercolor to paint!
About Cynthia Pride
It has been both a spiritual and emotional journey for me, from childhood on, that I'm an artist today. My paintings always start with a prayer. I have particularly enjoyed painting with watercolors and at times with oils. I give a lot of credit to my own terrific Dad, for his encouragement to grow up “Free to be, whom one is meant to be”…. The freedom to be an artist, that is always seeking, was constantly supported. I have enjoyed connecting with others through the paintings and embracing the places where I live. I've enjoyed challenging myself to express the wonderful world we all inhabit. Painting watercolors and oils are my way to express a need to glorify creation and my creator. I enjoy playing with photography as well....
