"Driftin'" is a watercolor painting. The Driftwood near Waikiki Beach at Cape Disappointment State Park is an amazing place to explore, as well as sit on to watch the boats and barges go by. These boats travel from the Pacific Ocean into the huge mouth of the Columbia River here in the Pacific Northwest and out again. This Driftwood has piled up over many years and was a fascinating subject to paint..I have many fond memories climbing over these huge logs! <3
About Cynthia Pride
It has been both a spiritual and emotional journey for me, from childhood on, that I'm an artist today. My paintings always start with a prayer. I have particularly enjoyed painting with watercolors and at times with oils. I give a lot of credit to my own terrific Dad, for his encouragement to grow up “Free to be, whom one is meant to be”…. The freedom to be an artist, that is always seeking, was constantly supported. I have enjoyed connecting with others through the paintings and embracing the places where I live. I've enjoyed challenging myself to express the wonderful world we all inhabit. Painting watercolors and oils are my way to express a need to glorify creation and my creator. I enjoy playing with photography as well....
