Artist's Description
"The Walk near Mt Ranier" is a watercolor painting. I took a lovely walk near Mt Ranier and noticed the many glaciers leading to the top. There was one interesting cloud hanging off to the side of the mountain and it was suggested that I should paint this scene..I'm glad I did, because I was able to really study this famous, beautiful mountain in better detail. This original painting was given to a good friend, who spent a lot of time as a park ranger in this area.
About Cynthia Pride
It has been both a spiritual and emotional journey for me, from childhood on, that I'm an artist today. My paintings always start with a prayer. I have particularly enjoyed painting with watercolors and at times with oils. I give a lot of credit to my own terrific Dad, for his encouragement to grow up “Free to be, whom one is meant to be”…. The freedom to be an artist, that is always seeking, was constantly supported. I have enjoyed connecting with others through the paintings and embracing the places where I live. I've enjoyed challenging myself to express the wonderful world we all inhabit. Painting watercolors and oils are my way to express a need to glorify creation and my creator. I enjoy playing with photography as well....
