Description
This 100+ year old gorgeous church stand regal in a small rural community called Oysterville, Wa. Oyster farming has been a livelihood for many generations in this community. I was standing on the property, wondering if I wanted to paint such a beautiful and inspiring building. To my surprise, I was visited by many small airplane-like swallow birds zipping through the air all around me! I enjoyed their unique quirks and love of flying. I understand they come back every Spring, in March, every year to build their nest under the eaves of the Church. I knew that I had to put them into my painting because they add life to my painting, the church and the community!
